ROMCARBON S.A. with headquarters in the Municipality of Buzau, no.132 Transylvania Street, Buzau county, is unrolling, starting on 31.01.2022, the project entitled “Implementation of an intelligent energy consumption monitoring system within ROMCARBON S.A”, SMIS code 148419, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through 2014-2020 Large Infrastructure Operational Program, concluded with the Ministry of European Investments and Projects as the Management Authority (MA) for 2014-2020 Large Infrastructure Operational Program.
The project is co-financed by 2014 – 2020 Large Infrastructure Operational Program, Priority Axis 6 – Promoting clean energy and energy efficiency in order to support an economy with low carbon emissions, Specific Objective 6.2 – Reducing energy consumption at the level of industrial consumers.
The total value of the project is 1,110,328.78 lei, of which the non-refundable financial assistance is 933,049.40 lei.
The project is implemented in the city of Buzau, no.132 Transylvania Street, Buzau county, for a period of 26 months. The general objective of the project is the implementation of an energy consumption monitoring system at the level of the industrial platform in Buzau of the industrial consumer ROMCARBON S.A., for the identification and implementation of energy efficiency measures in order to record savings in energy consumption and avoid gas emissions with greenhouse effect at the level of the company.
Expected results:
- Reduction of the energy intensity by 3.2% starting from the 5th year after the implementation of the project, respectively 3.43% compared to the energy flows that will be monitored by the project.
- Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions estimated at 469.33 tons of CO2 starting with the 5th year after the implementation of the project;
- Installation of 101 equipment and a software for monitoring energy consumption.
